With Petco Park ideally located at the hub of San Diego County's public transportation network, taking the Trolley, Coaster or bus to the ballpark area is a convenient way to go.

    Ride the Trolley to the Ballpark
    Three (3) San Diego Trolley stations - 12th and Imperial, Park (12th) and Market and the Gaslamp Quarter Station (Fifth Avenue and Harbor Drive) serve Petco Park. All three Trolley lines-Orange, Blue and Green-provide direct service to and from the ballpark. This means fans can choose any one of more than 50 stations and board direct service to Petco Park! All three Trolley lines will also offer enhanced service after night games. One-way fares are $2.50 for most rides and all-day passes are $5.

    EXPANDED GREEN LINE SERVICE - Green Line now starts in Santee and continues all the way to Petco Park via SDSU, Qualcomm Stadium, Mission Valley, and Old Town. Check www.sdmts.com for routes and schedules.

    Park-and-Ride Lots, with more than 5,000 parking spaces, are located along all Trolley lines. In addition, there are 5,000 FREE parking spots available at Qualcomm Stadium (excluding major event days at Qualcomm Stadium). Additional parking is available at Hazard Center (lower levels only) on nights and weekends.

    Take the COASTER from North County
    The COASTER train is a convenient way to travel from North County to every Padres home game. Easily accessible with free parking from coastal communities, the COASTER lets you avoid summer traffic on Interstate-5.

    Details about southbound trains going to San Diego (Santa Fe Depot) before the game:

    • For Monday-Friday games that begin at 7:10 p.m. there are numerous trains heading downtown. Visit GoNCTD.com for schedules.
    • For weekday games that begin at 3:40 p.m., a special train that operates only for these games leaves Oceanside at 1:51 p.m. and picks up at all stations, arriving downtown at 2:40 p.m.
    • For weekday games that begin at 12:40 p.m., fans may catch the southbound train from Oceanside at 11:05 a.m. and picks up at all stations, arriving downtown at 12:10 p.m.
    • For Saturday games that begin at 5:40 p.m., fans may catch the southbound train from Oceanside at 3:34 p.m., which picks up at all stations, arriving downtown at 4:34 p.m.
    • For Saturday games that begin at 7:10 p.m., fans may catch the southbound train from Oceanside at 5:15 p.m., which picks up at all stations, arriving downtown at 6:17 p.m.
    • For Sunday afternoon games that begin at 1:10 p.m., fans may catch the southbound train from Oceanside at 11:07am, which picks up at all stations, arriving downtown at 12:10 p.m.

    Details about northbound trains departing from San Diego (Santa Fe Depot) after the game:

    • Monday-Friday afternoon games have numerous options for return trips to North County. For all evening games, trains depart Santa Fe Depot 50 minutes after the last out or special event with a time certain departure of midnight.
    • Saturday-Sunday trains depart Santa Fe Depot 50 minutes after the last out or special event with a time certain departure of midnight.

    RegionPlus Day Passes are available for $12.00 per person and include round trip on COASTER and FREE Trolley connections to Petco Park. Children 5 and under ride free. COASTER schedules and prices are subject to change. Pre-sold RegionPlus Day Passes are available at NCTD Transit Centers in Oceanside, Vista and Escondido during business hours.     MTS Buses Serve the Ballpark
    Many convenient bus routes serve Petco Park, including Routes 11, 901 & 929 which stop right at the ballpark's front door at Park Boulevard and 10th Avenue. Routes 4, 11, 901 & 929 also stop at the 12th and Imperial Transit Center, just two blocks away. Routes 3 and 5 stop along Market Street, a short walk to the ballpark.     By Ferry
    The San Diego Bay Ferry departs from the Coronado Ferry Landing Shopping Center to 5th Ave Landing (behind the Convention Center) starting at 9:10 a.m. and recurring every hour until 9:10 p.m (10:10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Returning from 5th Ave Landing to Coronado starting at 9:25 a.m. and recurring every hour until 9:25 p.m. (10:25 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). The ferry costs $4.25 per person, each way.     On-call Water Taxi service is available by calling 619-235-TAXI (8294). The Water Taxi services downtown San Diego, Coronado, Harbor Island and Shelter Island. The rate is $7.00 per rider, each way. Minimums may apply. The nearest drop off point to Petco Park is the 5th Ave Landing (behind the Convention Center). The taxi operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., most days. Please call for availability.
