MLBPA Press Release |
Watch "Fantasy Camp" here.
After debuting on www.funnyordie.com, Fantasy Camp will be posted on www.MLBPLAYERS.com, MLB.com, and other popular Internet video destinations. Three previous videos in the series, featuring Major Leaguers Ryan Dempster, Mark DeRosa, Mike Fontenot, Toby Hall, Torii Hunter, Howie Kendrick, Geovany Soto, Nick Swisher and Ryan Theriot, can be viewed on the Players Trust YouTube channel.
Written and produced by Funny or Die, the award-winning comedy website founded by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, each of the videos ends with personal messages from the players urging viewers to support causes they believe in.
Through the Players Trust, Major Leaguers contribute their time, money and celebrity to call attention to important causes affecting the needy and to help encourage others to get involved in their own communities. In partnership with Volunteers of America, the national human service organization, the Players Trust created and helps administer the Action Team, a national youth volunteer initiative currently inspiring the next generation of volunteers in high schools throughout the United States.
