Michael Cuddyer hit an eighth-inning grand slam to send the game into extra innings, but reliever Jesse Crain gave up a walk-off homer in the 11th inning. Starter Boof Bonser gave up three homers in five innings as Minnesota lost at Safeco Field.

After four homers -- from Ichiro Suzuki, Richie Sexson, Yuniesky Betancourt and Raul Ibanez -- the Mariners headed into extra innings knotted at 9 with the Twins. Carl Everett hit the final blast with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th inning.
