I've had gymnastics withdrawal ever since the Olympics ended a few weeks ago. Everywhere I go, I'm looking for some high-flying athleticism to fill my desires. On Sunday afternoon in Pawtucket, Red Sox Minor Leaguer Jason Repko did exactly that.
Repko was out in left field when Kosuke Fukudome sent a ball flying past him -- a definite home run. Or so we thought.
Repko lept over the wall, and in a McKayla Maroney-esque performance, front-flipped and landed PERFECTLY. It'd be one thing if he tumbled to the ground, but he landed on his feet on the other side of the wall, baseball neatly tucked in his glove.
I'm just happy he felt confident enough to jump over the wall because, as we've seen in the past, running through the wall can be quite painful.
