Minnesota Twins announce 2010 schedule
Opening Day at Target Field slated for April 12 vs. Boston
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

The Minnesota Twins today announced the preliminary regular season schedule for the team's inaugural campaign at Target Field, America's newest and most urban ballpark.

The Twins will kick off their 50th season on the road April 5-11 with a seven-game road trip to face the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (April 5 - 8) and the Chicago White Sox (April 9 - 11).

Upon returning to Minnesota, the Twins will mark Opening Day at Target Field on April 12 with a 3:10 p.m. game against the Boston Red Sox followed by an off day and then two 12:10 p.m. games against the Red Sox on April 14-15. Following the home-opening Red Sox series, the Twins will host the Kansas City Royals (April 16-18) before closing the nine-game homestand with a three-game set versus the Cleveland Indians (April 20-22).

The Twins 2010 home interleague schedule features visits by the Milwaukee Brewers (May 21 - 23), the Atlanta Braves (June 11 - 13) and the Colorado Rockies (June 15 - 17). The team's road interleague schedule includes trips to play the Philadelphia Phillies (June 18 - 20), the Milwaukee Brewers (June 22 - 24) and the New York Mets (June 25 - 27).

Other home schedule highlights include a three-game series against the New York Yankees (May 25-27), a Memorial Day weekend series against the Texas Rangers (May 28-30), a Fourth of July weekend series versus the Tampa Bay Rays (July 1-4) and a Labor Day weekend series against the Texas Rangers (Sept. 3-5) and the Kansas City Royals (Sept. 6-8).

The Twins will close out their inaugural season at Target Field with a four-game series versus the Toronto Blue Jays (Sept. 30 - Oct. 3).

The Twins will play their American League Central Division rivals the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers 17 games each, while playing the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals 18 games each. The Twins will face all Central Division teams three series at home and three series on the road.

The Twins recently announced plans to host the National League's St. Louis Cardinals in a pair of exhibition games at Target Field April 2-3.
