Minnesota Twins Announce Plans for Final Regular Season Series in the Metrodome
Tickets for final game sold out - good seats remain for Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 games

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Twins have announced plans for the final regular season series in the Metrodome, starting Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4 against the Kansas City Royals. The Twins have raised the curtain for the final game on Sunday, Oct. 4, which is now sold out. Good seats remain for Fan Appreciation Weekend presented by DQ on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3. Plans for the weekend are as follows:

Friday, Oct. 2 - 7:10 p.m. - Twins vs. Kansas City Royals

  • Fan Appreciation Day presented by DQ - All fans will receive a 2009/2010 Target Field Calendar. Fans will also have an opportunity to win prizes throughout the game from the Twins and the team's corporate partners.
  • A special pregame ceremony will feature a salute to Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission employees who have been instrumental in serving Twins fans over the team's 28-year span in the Metrodome.
Saturday, Oct. 3 - 6:10 p.m. - Twins vs. Kansas City Royals
  • Fan Appreciation Day presented by DQ - All fans will receive a 2009/2010 Target Field Calendar. Fans will also have an opportunity to win prizes throughout the game from the Twins and the team's corporate partners.
  • Fans are invited to participate in photo sessions with former Twins players before the game in the Metrodome concourses from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Players scheduled to appear include Rick Aguilera, Juan Berenguer, Bert Blyleven, Tom Brunansky, Randy Bush, John Castino, Ron Coomer, Marty Cordova, Chili Davis, Ron Davis, Scott Erickson, Gary Gaetti, Greg Gagne, Dan Gladden, Denny Hocking, Kent Hrbek, Jacque Jones, Tom Kelly, Corey Koskie, Gene Larkin, Tim Laudner, Matthew LeCroy, Scott Leius, Steve Lombardozzi, Paul Molitor, Jack Morris, Al Newman, Mike Pagliarulo, Brad Radke, Roy Smalley, Terry Steinbach, Kevin Tapani and Frank Viola (subject to change).
Sunday, Oct. 4 - 1:10 p.m. - Twins vs. Kansas City Royals (SOLD OUT!)
  • Final regular season game in the Metrodome - All fans will receive a certificate commemorating their attendance at the final regular season game in the Metrodome.
  • A special postgame ceremony will celebrate the great players and moments of the Twins 28-year run in the Metrodome. Members of the All-Metrodome team, World Series teams (1987, 1991) and Division Championship teams (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006) will be celebrated on the field during the ceremony.
