Twins to recall Armando Gabino from Triple-A Rochester
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN -- The Minnesota Twins announced after tonight's game that they have optioned right handed pitcher Anthony Swarzak to Triple-A Rochester. In 12 starts with the Twins, Swarzak went 3-7 with a 6.25 ERA (59.0 ip, 41 er). The 23-year old, made his Major League debut with 7.0 scoreless innings vs. the Milwaukee Brewers on May 23.

In addition, the Twins plan to recall right handed pitcher Armando Gabino prior to Tuesday night's game vs. the Baltimore Orioles at the Metrodome. Gabino, who has been named the Twins probable starter Tuesday night, went 5-3 with a 2.83 ERA in 36 appearances (five starts) for Triple-A Rochester. The 25-year old, made the start tonight for the Red Wings and tossed 3.0 scoreless innings allowing just one hit at Pawtucket. He has allowed just three earned runs in his last 16.2 innings pitched and has posted a 2.16 ERA (25.0 ip, 6 er) in his five starts at Triple-A. Gabino, who will wear uniform number 63, was selected by the Twins in the 2004 Minor League phase of the Rule 5 draft from Cleveland.
