Minnesota Twins announce limited edition 1987 bobblehead set
Proceeds to benefit, Shane Reardon Memorial Foundation and Twins Community Fund

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Twins today announced that 1,000 limited edition bobblehead doll sets commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 1987 World Champion Minnesota Twins will be available for purchase exclusively at beginning Thursday, August 9 at 9 a.m. (Central Time). There is a limit of two sets per buyer.

The limited edition 1987 Twins bobblehead set - priced at $387 - features the entire roster of the 1987 World Championship team including players Keith Atherton, Don Baylor, Juan Berenguer, Bert Blyleven, Tom Brunansky, Randy Bush, Sal Butera, Mark Davidson, George Frazier, Gary Gaetti, Greg Gagne, Dan Gladden, Kent Hrbek, Gene Larkin, Tim Laudner, Steve Lombardozzi, Joe Niekro, Al Newman, Kirby Puckett, Jeff Reardon, Dan Schatzeder, Roy Smalley, Les Straker and Frank Viola, plus manager Tom Kelly.

All net proceeds from the sale of the bobblehead sets will benefit, the Shane Reardon Memorial Foundation and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.

The Minnesota Helps Fund: Bridge Disaster Fund is a collaboration of local funders to facilitate local contributions to disaster relief efforts. The purpose of the fund is to collect contributions and distribute them effectively to help the victims, rescuers, and families affected by the I-35W bridge collapse. The Shane Reardon Memorial Foundation was established the Reardon family to assist families dealing with loved ones who have an alcohol or drug addiction. It is a subsidiary of the Gary Carter Foundation.

The Twins Community Fund is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to enrich local and regional communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families through an association with baseball, softball and the Minnesota Twins. The Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund annually distribute more than $3.3 million in support to the Upper Midwest community.
