"Vote Joe" for 2006 All-Star Game
Twins fans can cast their All-Star votes up to 25 times at twinsbaseball.com for a chance to meet Joe Mauer; The first 10,000 fans attending Wednesday's and Thursday's game will receive a "Vote Joe" button

MINNEAPOLS -- The Minnesota Twins encourage fans throughout Twins Territory to help send catcher
Joe Mauer to the 77th Major League Baseball All-Star game at Pittsburgh's PNC Park on Tuesday, July 11. Fans
may vote via the Major League Baseball All-Star Balloting Program, the largest balloting program in professional
sports.
As part of the campaign, the first 10,000 fans attending Wednesday's (June 14, 7:10 p.m.) and Thursday's (June
15, 7:10 p.m.) versus the Boston Red Sox will receive a "Vote Joe" button. Buttons will also be distributed to
fans attending the Friday (June 23, 7:10 p.m.) and Saturday (June 24, 6:10 p.m.) games versus the Chicago Cubs,
and the Monday (June 26, 7:10 p.m.) game versus the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fans have the opportunity to vote for their favorite All-Stars at Major League games through June 24 and at
Minor League games through June 17.
Fans may also vote online at www.twinsbaseball.com up to 25 times. As an online incentive, fans who vote
before Thursday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes for the
opportunity to meet Joe Mauer during pregame batting practice before the Wednesday, July 19 Twins game.
In addition, the winner will receive four Lower Club tickets to the game, a parking pass and a Joe Mauer
autographed bat and ball. Ten additional voters will win two Lower Club tickets to the Twins versus Devil Rays
game on Wednesday, July 19.
In order to be entered into the sweepstakes, fans voting online must select the Twins as their "favorite" or "other
favorite" club when completing the 2006 All-Star Game Online Ballot. The winners of the sweepstakes will be
selected by random drawing on or about Tuesday, July 11, and will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone.
The 2006 All-Star teams will be announced on Sunday, July 2. Sixteen starters will be determined by fan voting
along with 46 pitchers and reserves determined by fans and the two All-Star team managers, Ozzie Guillen of the
Chicago White Sox and Phil Garner of the Houston Astros.
