Twins Winter Caravan set to begin Sunday
Tour to visit more than 50 Upper Midwest communities

MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Twins' outfielder Lew Ford, shortstop Jason Bartlett, manager Ron Gardenhire, and pitching coach Rick Anderson are among the Twins personnel appearing SUNDAY AFTERNOON, January 15 from 1:30 - 2 p.m. at HOME RUN HITTERZ in GOLDEN VALLEY Sunday's appearance starts the 46th Annual Twins Winter Caravan, sponsored by Dodge and Your Local Dodge Dealers. The 2006 Twins Winter Caravan features stops in more than 50 communities throughout the Upper Midwest from January 15-19 and January 23-26, 2006.

The longest running and most significant off-season team caravan in professional sports, the Twins Winter Caravan is also presented in part by Fox Sports Net North, WCCO Radio, and the Twins Radio Network. The Twins Winter Caravan features four teams of current and former players visiting schools, hospitals, Upper Midwest corporations and service clubs during the day with a traditional "hot stove league" program each evening.

Current Twins personnel scheduled to participate are FORD, BARTLETT, GARDENHIRE, ANDERSON, catcher JOE MAUER, pitcher JOE NATHAN, pitcher CARLOS SILVA, outfielder MICHAEL CUDDYER, pitcher JUAN RINCON, catcher MIKE REDMOND, and pitcher JESSE CRAIN. Former Twins greats TONY OLIVA, HARMON KILLEBREW, ROD CAREW, KENT HRBEK, JACK MORRIS and RON COOMER will also appear.

Each Twins Winter Caravan leg will be led by members of the Twins radio/television broadcast team, including WCCO Radio's John Gordon and Dan Gladden as well as Fox Sports Net North's Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven. Each leg will also feature appearances by Twins Sports Inc., President Jerry Bell, Twins President Dave St. Peter, and Twins General Manager Terry Ryan.
