Twins announce ticket prices for 2006 season
Metrodome prices to remain far below MLB average; Single-game seats to start at just $6; Full season tickets at just $200
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN -- The Minnesota Twins today announced ticket prices for the 2006 season including plans to once again offer more than 9,000 seats at just $6 for most games.
Cited in April of this year by Team Marketing Report for having the American League's third lowest average ticket price ($16.25 - almost $5 below the MLB average of $21.17), the Twins remain committed to providing fans throughout the region with affordable family entertainment.
In 2006, the Twins will introduce a variable pricing structure, with tickets purchased as part of a season package discounted $1 to $5 from the single-game price for 72 of 81 home games including opening day. Season tickets will be discounted $5 to $8 from the single-game price for nine Premium Games including scheduled home contests versus the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs. The Twins will again offer a variety of season ticket options including 81-game, 41-game, 20-game plans as well as the popular Business Advantage and Flex 40 ticket packages.

Beginning in 2006, the first six rows of the upper deck within the infield (Sec. 220-229) will be renamed Upper Deck Box with the balance of upper deck seats from Sec. 217-233 remaining Upper Deck Club. "We believe this ticket price plan keeps the Twins among the most affordable options in the marketplace, while providing added resources aimed at helping maintain a competitive ballclub for the 2006 season and beyond."
In addition to the standard ticket pricing structure outlined above, the Twins will bring back a variety of family-focused ticket programs including the popular "Dairy Queen Family Pack", "Cub Foods Value Pack", "Culver's Kid's Day", "Our Family Brand Half-Price Nights" and "Buffalo Wild Wings Student Nights".
