The Minnesota Twins were informed today that catcher Joe Mauer has won the 2009 Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger. It is the third time in Mauer's career (2006 and 2008) that he has won the award.

As the 2009 American League Central Division Champion Minnesota Twins prepare to move across downtown Minneapolis to Target Field, they have announced plans for a "moving sale." On Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the team invites fans to the Metrodome to peruse a wide variety of merchandise and memorabilia.

The Minnesota Twins today announced the Diamond Awards, their annual awards for the 2009 season based on voting conducted by the Twin Cities Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. In addition, the Twins and the BBWAA announced plans for the Fifth Annual Diamond Awards Event which will be held January 28, 2010 and will benefit brain, nerve and muscle disorders research at the University of Minnesota.
