    The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have made several roster moves as Major League rosters can expand to 40 players. The club has returned outfielder Alex Gordon from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list (left groin strain). Outfielder Jonny Gomes, acquired from the Atlanta Braves last night, will join the team today and be in uniform (#31) for tonight's 7:10 game against the Detroit Tigers.
