Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have added outfielder Oswaldo Arcia, right-handed pitcher Carlos Gutierrez and left-handed pitcher Tyler Robertson to their Major League roster.

Arcia batted .263 (56-for-213) with 14 doubles, two triples, eight home runs and 32 rbi in 59 games at Single-A Ft. Myers and .352 (25-for-71) with eight doubles, one triple, five home runs and 18 rbi in 20 games at Single-A Beloit last season.  He also appeared in two games for the GCL Twins, batting .500 (4-for-8) with one double and one triple.  Arcia was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on July 4, 2007.

Gutierrez appeared in 43 games at Triple-A Rochester last season, going 2-3, 4.62 (62.1 ip, 32 er) with 31 walks and 57 strikeouts.  He was the Twins’ first round pick (27th overall) in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.

Robertson appeared in 55 games at Double-A New Britain, going 10-3, 3.61 (89.2 ip, 36 er) with 16 saves, 29 walks and 88 strikeouts.  He was the Twins’ 3rd round pick in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.

In another roster move, the Twins have outrighted right-handed pitcher David Bromberg off the 40-man roster to Triple-A Rochester.

In addition, the Twins have agreed to terms with the following players on minor league contracts: right-handed pitchers Jason Bulger, Sam Deduno, Luis Perdomo, and Brendan Wise; outfielders Matt Carson and Wilkin Ramirez.
