Twins to hold Metrodome 'moving sale'

Array of memorabilia will be available during Nov. 7 event

10/29/09 3:10 PM EST

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins' 28-year tenure in the Metrodome has come to an end, but it's not too late for fans to take home a piece of memorabilia from that era.

The ballclub is hosting a "moving sale" before it moves across town to its new home, Target Field.

The sale will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT inside the Metrodome's concourse. Fans can enter through gate F and free parking will be available in the dome's parking lot off 11th Avenue and Fifth Street in downtown Minneapolis.

"After 28 years of playing baseball in the Metrodome we've accumulated a vast array of items," said Patrick Klinger, Twins vice president of marketing. "We hope fans will come down and enjoy the opportunity to go home with some unique memorabilia we'll have available."

Among the items that will be available in the sale are bobbleheads, Twins publications, artwork, Metrodome signage, jerseys and other clothing.

A complete list of items will be made available online at www.twinsbaseball.com in the coming days.
