Target Field to feature Budweiser Roof Deck
Anheuser-Busch to sponsor bleacher seating
MINNEAPOLIS -- When the Minnesota Twins open Target Field next season, Anheuser-Busch will have a strong presence in the ballpark. The Twins organization has announced a partnership with Anheuser-Busch, which will sponsor the Budweiser Roof Deck at Target Field. The deck will offer 150 bleacher seats and additional standing room. "Designed to be the ultimate Minnesota outdoor experience, the Budweiser Roof Deck is certain to become one of the signature destinations at Target Field," said Twins president Dave St. Peter. "We are truly excited about this opportunity to work with our longstanding partner Anheuser-Busch in creating one of the most dynamic fan venues in all of Major League Baseball." Located above the Twins administrative offices in the ballpark's northwest corner, the Budweiser Roof Deck will offer skyline views of Minneapolis and will feature a bar area, a large fire pit and a canopy roof over part of the deck. Fans can purchase both single-game and group standing-room-only tickets for the Roof Deck, which will be adorned with classic Budweiser signs. "Budweiser's relationship with the Twins goes back a long way and is a credit to the great fan support and interest the team generates," said Dan McHugh, vice president, media, sponsorship and activation, Anheuser-Busch. "We're excited about our continued association with one of baseball's most consistent winners." The bleachers in the Budweiser Roof Deck will be just part of approximately 40,000 seats in the new ballpark, which is located in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis, near the Target Center. Construction on Target Field began in August 2007. Work is set to be finished by Opening Day 2010, with the total cost of construction reaching $425 million. The Twins are playing their final year in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, which opened for the 1982 season.
