FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Twins' Opening Night contest against the Seattle Mariners on April 6 is sold out, the team announced Monday.

It's the sixth time in seven years that the Twins have sold out the home opener, dating back to the 2002 season.

There are a limited number of single and obstructed view tickets remaining for the Twins' final home opener in the Metrodome. The tickets, located in the Upper Club seating area, are available for $11.

The Twins will kick off their final season inside the Metrodome, as they're set to move into Target Field in 2010, with some special events during that first game on April 6. That includes a pregame ceremony tribute to the club's late owner Carl Pohlad, who passed away in January at the age of 93. Mr. Pohlad's sons -- Jim, Bob and Bill -- are scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Before the game, the Twins will also unveil the first installment of a season-long countdown of the Top 100 "Metrodome Memories." A video segment will count down Nos. 100-92 of the most memorable Twins moments inside the Dome.

Fans are also invited to take part in two other annual Opening Day traditions -- the "Breakfast on the Plaza" at the Metrodome from 6-9 a.m. CT and an Opening Day rally at noon in the IDS Crystal Court in downtown Minneapolis. On hand for the rally will be John Gordon of the Twins Radio Network, who will emcee the event, along with manager Ron Gardenhire, Twins pitchers Glen Perkins, Kevin Slowey and Nick Blackburn and Twins Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew.
