Twins host 'Breakfast at the Plaza'
Event kicks off Minnesota's postseason home opener
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

NEW YORK -- You have to get up pretty early in the morning to support the Twins in their American League Division Series.

To celebrate the homecoming of the AL Central champions, the team will hold "Breakfast on the Plaza," a wake-up pep rally of sorts on Friday morning in front of the Metrodome before the Twins host the Yankees indoors that night at 7 p.m. CT.

The event runs from 6-9 a.m. and includes free food from such companies as Krispy Kreme and Land O'Lakes, along with morning newspapers. The Twins will also have playoff merchandise on sale. It's the latest show of support this week for the Twins, who had Monday rallies in both Minneapolis and St. Paul.

For those who want to root on the Twins at the game itself, tickets are still available for both games this weekend at the Metrodome starting at $20. They can be purchased online here at MLB.com, by calling the Twins ticket office at 612-33-TWINS or 800-33-TWINS, visiting the ticket office or the Twins Pro Shops in Roseville, Apple Valley or Minnetonka.
