Baseball Tomorrow Fund - Equipment Day

Equipment Day

This year marks the eighth season the Baseball Tomorrow Fund has collaborated with Major League Baseball Clubs to supplement their existing equipment collection programs and to help facilitate the creation of new programs.

Since 2005, the BTF/MLB Equipment Day initiative has collected nearly 100,000 pieces of equipment. In addition, approximately $1,250,000 in cash donations has benefited organizations in need.

Organize a Collection

Kids Gear for Baseball- Boston
Kids Gear for Baseball-Boston is a grassroots effort to help ensure that all kids in Greater Boston and surrounding communities have the equipment they need to participate in the game of baseball. Read their FAQ as an example of how to conduct a successful equipment drive.

Donate Equipment

Find a youth baseball of softball organization in your area
To help you find organizations in need of equipment, we have complied a list of previous Baseball Tomorrow Fund recipients that will accept donated equipment.

Pitch In For Baseball
Though invented in the U.S., baseball is embraced by many countries. Pitch In For Baseball collects and distributes baseball equipment and other assistance to young people in underserved communities around the globe.

Sports for the World's Children
Since its inception in 1997, SWC has served over 13,400 children (ages 5-18) in the United States, Mexico, and Nicaragua by providing them with thousands of pounds of sports equipment, as well as sports skills training and mentoring programs, through its "Communities Play" Program.

Recycled Baseball Items, Inc.
Recycled Baseball Items (RBI) Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) in the Greater Houston Area. They collect used baseball equipment, clean and refurbish it if necessary, and distribute it to children who can't afford such equipment. They also use monetary donations to offer scholarships to deserving young men and women.
