White, MichaelSpain Park HS (AL)SSR/R6'01"1851993-09-03HS
Comments: White gets the ultimate praise of being a "baseball player," a grinder who plays the game the right way. He has some tools, too, with the ability to hit for average, decent speed and more power than you'd think. His instincts help his tools play up, and he goes all out. He doesn't necessarily profile well at any one spot, but he's the kind of player that makes a team better.

170Welch, BrandonPalm Beach CCRHPR/R6'01"1851991-08-24J2
Comments: Welch is one of the more intriguing prospects in the Draft. His fastball sits in the mid 90s, and he also has a hard slider. He has excellent command of both pitches and rarely walks a batter. However, Welch is not the biggest guy in the world, leading some scouts to think he will be a reliever at the next level. Either way, Welch's aggressive nature and pure stuff are what will get him drafted.
Weigel, PatrickSt. Bonaventure HS (CA)RHPR/R6'06"2001994-07-08HS
55Weickel, WalkerOlympia HS (FL)RHPR/R6'06"1951993-11-14HS
Comments: Weickel is a tall and athletic right-hander who might not have the best pure stuff among the prep class in 2012, but his combination of stuff and pitchability should put him high on many Draft boards. The Florida high schooler has a fastball that tops out at 94 mph and sits in the 90-91 mph range on most days. It has above-average cut and sink. He throws his 12-to-6 curve for strikes to both sides of the plate. He's got a better changeup than many pitchers at his stage of development, with good deception.Weickel's curve currently lacks the velocity it will need at the next level and his delivery will appear stiff at times, but the strengths easily outweigh the weaknesses. It's for that reason he has the chance to be the second Florida prep pitcher to go off the board, following Lance McCullers.

Watson, ColemanWoodstock HS (GA)3BR/R5'11"1751993-09-14HS
Comments: After a big junior season, Watson didn't make much noise on the baseball field last fall thanks to his football duties and a bout with mono. But he picked up where he left off last spring with a huge senior season. Watson is big and projectable, exactly what scouts look for in prep arms. His now stuff isn't bad, either. Watson will throw his fastball in the 92 mph range, with plus life. There's more velocity in the tank – he's been up to 95-96 mph at times and could conceivably be there more consistently as he develops. He combines it with a wipeout curve he throws up to 80 mph, a 12-to-6 breaking ball. He's worked on a variety of other secondary pitches – changeup, splitter and a cutter-slider – and had varied success with each. He has more control than command and wasn't afraid to pitch inside, sometimes to a fault. Watson is committed to attend USC, but with talk about him potentially going in the first round, he may never set foot on campus.
