169Muncy, MaxBaylor1BL/R5'11"2101990-08-25JR
Comments: In a year with few advanced college bats, Muncy could be one of the first ones off the board. Muncy has a short, compact swing and makes consistent contact. Muncy has shown good power in his three years at Baylor and also has above average speed for a first baseman. Some scouts wonder if the power will translate to the pro game, but if it doesn't, Muncy has the athleticism to be able to move to a new position. Most teams covet advanced college bats that are also signable, and this could allow Muncy to be picked within the first few rounds.
47Olson, MattParkview HS (GA)1BL/R6'04"2361994-03-29HS
Comments: A two-way player in high school, Olson had a big season at the plate and on the mound. He had a very strong showing at the National High School Invitational at the USA Baseball complex in North Carolina in March, going 5-for-10 with a homer off of top prospect Max Fried and also winning a game on the mound. The Vanderbilt recruit could play both ways should he go to college, but most see his professional future as a hitter. While likely limited to first base, Olson's left-handed bat is bound to draw interest, with the potential to hit for average and power at the next level.

132Walker, ChristianSouth Carolina1BR/R6'00"2201991-03-28JR
Comments: There's something to be said for a college hitter who's produced for one of the better programs in the country and already has two championship rings on his resume. Walker has played a large part in South Carolina's success, hitting in the middle of the Gamecocks' lineup. He's shown an ability to hit for average and power and showed quickly in 2012 that a broken hamate suffered late last year wouldn't adversely impact him this season. He's not afraid to draw walks, and he rarely strikes out. He's not the imposing physical specimen some like to see, especially considering that he is limited to first, but a team that thinks the bat will play could take him off the board fairly early.
