Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers

The Minnesota Twins will salute current troops and veterans at Armed Services Appreciation Day presented by Qwest on July 5. Military personnel, veterans and their families may receive up to four complimentary tickets by showing a form of Military ID or proof of service at a tent located near Gate H.
The pregame festivities will include Freedom Flight and Liberty Belle hot air balloons, a performance by the Night Wings Air Force Band and ceremonial first pitches by veterans from conflicts dating back to WWII. During the game, the Twins will wear caps honoring the five branches of the Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard). The caps will be auctioned following the game on
with all proceeds benefitting the Minnesota Military Family Foundation and Serving Our Troops.
The festivities will be emceed by Twin Cities radio personality John Hines.
Military members and families will also be featured throughout the game, including singing the National Anthem and the 7th Inning Stretch.
