TwinsFest 2009 attracted 31,004 fans to the Metrodome, the third highest TwinsFest attendance in the event's history.
Presented by U.S. Bank, TwinsFest is an annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, a nonprofit organization working to support and improve youth baseball and softball in the Upper Midwest. Since its inception in 1989, TwinsFest has raised more than $4 million for programs and organizations supported by the Twins Community Fund.
The 31,004 ranks as the third highest attendance total in TwinsFest history following 2007's record attendance of more than 35,000 attending the three-day event and 33,000 in 1992. Other recent TwinsFest attendance figures are as follows: 2008 -- 30,483; 2006 -- 25,000; 2005 -- 29,000; 2004 -- 23,000; and 2003 -- 27,000.
