We are half way through the Twins Spring Training schedule and this week's episode of Deep Cuts starts the discussion of who is going to come north with the team. ByungHo Park joins the show as he continues his success from the plate while looking to reclaim his spot on the 25-man roster. Park goes on to talk about his rehab from wrist surgery and the adjustments he's made in his second year with the Twins. We also introduce you to new Twins coach Jeff Pickler who enters the season as the coordinator of Major League development. Pickler talks about the increased attention to analytics and how to balance the numbers with the story on the field. He is also introduced to Three Cuts with a perspective on the popularity of Peyton Manning and Todd Helton at his alma mater, University of Tennessee.

The Minnesota Twins have officially kicked off their Spring Training schedule! Twins ace Ervin Santana stops by the show as he discusses a change behind the plate, in terms of the leadership in the clubhouse and a young pitcher that's impressed him early in camp. Craig Breslow has found his way back to the organization. He discusses the unique way he reunited with the team and his new look delivery. Breslow wraps up the show with three cuts about film festivals and his career on the mound.

After having a setback a few weeks ago in his return from surgery, Glen Perkins threw 15 pitches today at Spring Training and said he is very pleased with how it felt. Perkins also covered a wide variety of topics, including the impact the game will feel from the retirement of some long time umpires. We also check up with Jeff Smith, who after 21 seasons got his call to show and joins the Twins Major League coaching staff. Smitty discusses that and his role in working with the catchers.
