2009/10 Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Training Camps Information Registration

Minnesota Twins Training Camps provide the Upper Midwest with quality baseball instruction at an affordable price in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

Receive Major League instruction at Twins Training Camps! The 2009-2010 winter edition of the Twins Training Camps provides players with the opportunity to work on their general skills and prepare for the start of the new baseball season.

All camps will address general baseball skills and Twins personel, as well as top college and high school coaches, will provide daily instruction. Camps are for players ages 8-18. Ages 8-12 will focus on strong development of fundamentals as well as some intermediate skill instruction. Ages 13-18 will feature more intermediate and advanced skills training. All camps are at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. For questions or more information call 612-375-7510.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fees are:

  • Holiday Baseball Camp - $125
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day Camp - $75
  • President's Day Camp - $75

In addition to top quality instruction from the region's best coaches, camp participants will also receive a camp T-shirt.

Special discounts:

  • Multiple Camp Dates - register for multiple camps and receive $15 off your total registration
  • Multiple Family Members - register two or more campers from the same family and receive $10 off of each participant's registration fee.


INSTRUCTORS

Camp Director - Erik Lovdahl
Erik Lovdahl has 19 years of experience coaching at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a former professional pitcher and currently serves as a Twins batting practice pitcher. He is the owner of Lovdahl Pitching Academy and the MYAS Gopher State Pitching Camp Director. Lovdahl and his staff have trained countless players at all levels throughout the Upper Midwest.

Brian Raabe
Brian Raabe is the head baseball coach at Forest Lake High School. He is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota where he was a four-time letter winner, receiving All Big-Ten and All America honors in 1990. Raabe played for four professional teams including the Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, Seattle Mariners and Seibu Lions of the Japanese League. He was a six-time Minor League All Star and 1996 AAA batting champion.

Mark "Lunch" McKenzie
Mark "Lunch" McKenzie is the head baseball coach at NCAA Division II Concordia University in St. Paul. He has coached and worked in baseball for 42 years, including 10 tours with USA Baseball and the Olympic Development Program. In 1998 he coached USA Baseball to a gold medal and was awarded the USOC Developmental Coach of the Year honor. McKenzie has had 45 of his players move on to play professional baseball, including eight in the Major Leagues.

Mark Wilson
Mark Wilson is a Minnesota Twins Midwest Area Scout covering MN, IA, NE, WI, and the Dakotas. He has been a member of the Twins organization since 1999 and is responsible for singing current Major League players Joe Mauer, Glen Perkins and Brian Duensing.

Keith Bateman
Keith Bateman is the head baseball coach at NCAA Division III Augsburg College in Minneapolis. While at Augsburg, he led the team to its third 20-win season in program history as well as its first-ever Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament appearance. In 2005, Bateman was named the MIAC Co-Coach of the Year. During his playing career he was a three-time All-MIAC selection at Bethel University.



Youth Camp

The registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. All cancellations must be received 10 days prior to the camp. Camp registrations will be taken until the camp is full.
