2008 Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball & Softball Training Camp Information Registration Form

The mission of the Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball & Softball Training Camps is to provide upper Midwest youth with quality baseball and softball instruction at an affordable price in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. Camps cater to athletes between the ages of 8 and 18 who want to improve individual baseball or softball skills in a serious instructional atmosphere.

In addition to quality instruction from the region's best coaches, two Hall of Famers will be participating in the 2008 camps!

Hall of Famer Rod Carew will be attending the Fargo, Brainerd, and Robbinsdale camps.

Rod Carew will be available for a full day of instruction at the camps in Fargo, Brainerd and Robbinsdale. Rod Carew was a career .328 hitter in 19 seasons, 12 with the Twins. He won seven American League batting titles and hit .300 or better in 15 consecutive seasons. Carew finished his career with 3,053 hits and was voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 and the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame in 2000.

Hall of Famer Paul Molitor will be attending the River Falls camp.

Paul Molitor will be available for a full day of instruction at the camp in River Falls, WI. A Minnesota native, Paul Molitor was a career .306 hitter in his 21 Major League seasons and was named to the American League All-Star team seven times and named the World Series MVP in 1993. Molitor collected 3,319 hits, hit 234 home runs and batted in 1,307 runs during his career and is one of only four players in Major League history with at least 3,000 hits, a .300 lifetime average and 500 stolen bases. Molitor played three years for the Minnesota Twins and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.

The registration fee is $200/participant per two-day session, and camp registrations will be taken until the camp is full.

Twins scouts, front office personnel and alumni will participate as guest speakers and instructors.
In addition, top college and high school coaches will provide daily instruction.

Camp Director - Erik Lovdahl
Erik Lovdahl has 19 years of experience coaching at the collegiate and high school levels. He is a Minnesota Twins batting practice pitcher, owner of Lovdahl Pitching Academy, MYAS Gopher State Pitching Camp Director, and former professional player. Erik and his staff train countless baseball and softball players at all levels throughout the Upper Midwest.

Approximately 150 youth will be at each camp. Camp participants will receive the following:
• Camp t-shirt
• Commemorative Twins items

SPECIAL DISCOUNT
Multiple Family Discount - Receive a $20 discount per person when two campers from the same family register.
Multiple Camp Registration - Register for two camp sessions and receive $20 off your total registration. (Discount applied offline)

The registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. All cancellations must be received 10 days prior to the camp. Camp registrations will be taken until the camp is full.
