Twins Wives Organization
The Minnesota Twins Wives Organization generously gives their time to support and raise funds for charitable causes each year.
The group, made up of Twins players' and coaches' wives, and fiancées, raises money throughout the year for organizations that help and support families and children.

From their Ball-In-A-Bag fundraisers and Twins tank tops to participating in Herberger's Wine, Women and Baseball events and Race for the Cure on Mother's Day, the Twins Wives Organization is actively involved in raising funds for local charities within the Twin Cities community. Every month throughout the season, the wives have activities going on at the ballpark.
Here is a list of the activities scheduled so far for 2008. Details will follow as events get closer!
Twins Wives Tank Tops

Twins tank tops will be sold for $25 at several games during the season -- in black, red and navy, sizes XS to XL
Puppy Porch Adoption Drive
Krista Martin, Lori Castellano and Stephanee Neshek will be at the Petco in Burnsville on Saturday, August 2nd from 11-3 to help Puppy Porch adopt dogs.
Puppy Porch is a dog rescue group that was founded about 4 years ago by two women who have helped animals not only in the Twin Cities area, but throughout the Midwest and other parts of the country. Not only do they find dogs homes, but they help other shelters to function more effieciently and educate them to save more dogs. And, every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, the group does adoptions outside of the Burnsville Petco from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m.
Ball-in-A-Bag Fundraiser
The Twins Wives Organization will be selling baseballs autographed by members of the 2008 Twins this Thursday, July 31st, and at several games throughout the 2008 season. The fans will randomly choose from a selection of brown paper bags, each containing an autographed baseball from one of the 2008 Twins players and coaches. The cost is $30 per bag, and there will also be special "All-Star" bags available for $100 that will guarantee an autographed baseball from 2008 All-Stars Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, or Joe Nathan. The money raised from this fundraiser will be donated at the end of the season to local charities designated by the Twins Wives Organization.
Hang with the Majors at Majors
"Hang with the Majors at Majors" was an opportunity for fans to interact with their favorite Twins players for a good cause by purchasing a ticket to a private dinner at Majors Sports Café in Bloomington on Thursday, July 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. The event was hosted by the Twins Wives Organization and many of the Twins players with proceeds from the event dedicated to Midwest flood relief.

Twins Wives Favorite Things
As part of the remainder of the Wine, Women and Baseball events, raffle tickets will be sold for two baskets with items the wives noted as their favorite things. Tickets are $5 each. Winners will be announced after the final Wine, Women and Baseball event. The winner does not need to be present to win.
Players' Favorite Things
For the second year, the wives and significant others put together baskets of the Twins players and coaches. Raffle tickets were sold for $5 each from May 31 through Autograph Party on June 21. The winners were announced after Autograph Party weekend.

Race for the Cure
More than 35 Twins wives, moms, mothers-in-law and grandmothers participated in the Twin Cities Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11.

Stitch n' Pitch
The members of the Twins Wives Organization are knitting and crocheting items to donate to local area shelters and they need your help! The wives will be accepting knitted and crocheted donations (caps, scarves, mittens or sweaters) from fans at Stitch n' Pitch on Sunday, July 20.

Twins Celebrity Waiter Event at Morton's The Steakhouse

On Sunday, Sept. 16, the Minnesota Twins, along with their significant other, participated in the Twins Celebrity Waiter Event at Morton's The Steakhouse hosted by Michael and Claudia Cuddyer on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. Along with Michael and Claudia, were Becky and Jesse Crain, Glen and Alisha Perkins, Nick and Natalie Punto, Jason and Blake Kubel, Matt and Dejie Guerrier, Justin Morneau and Krista Martin, Boof Bonser and Jessica Clarke, Kevin Slowey, Joe Nathan, Jason Tyner, Mike Redmond.

Ball-in-a-Bag

Fans randomly chose from a selection of brown paper bags, each containing an autographed baseball from any one of the 2007 Twins players and coaches. In addition, a limited number of baseballs were sold for $100, and guaranteed to be signed by Johan Santana, Torii Hunter, Joe Mauer or Justin Morneau. To date, the Ball-in-a-Bag fundraiser has raised more than $12,500.
Favorite Things Basket Online Auction

My Favorite Things baskets were created by the wives and significant others of the Twins players and coaches, and raised more than $7,600. The baskets feature several of the "favorite things" of their husband or significant other -- from music, movies and food to games, books and hobbies. All Favorite Things baskets include at least one autographed item by the player.
This year, the 19 players and coaches who donated My Favorite Things baskets were Jason Bartlett, Michael Cuddyer, Jesse Crain, Lew Ford, Ron Gardenhire, Matt Guerrier, Torii Hunter, Jason Kubel, Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Joe Nathan, Nick Punto, Juan Rincon, Carlos Silva, Glen Perkins, Luis Rodriguez, Johan Santana, Jason Tyner, and Joe Vavra.
All of the proceeds raised by the online auction of the My Favorite Things baskets will benefit the Twins Community Fund as well as several charities designated by the Twins Wives Organization.
Autograph Party Grab Bags

The Twins wives take part in the annual Autograph Party by selling 500 grab bags out on the Metrodome Plaza during the event. This year, they raised $7,500.

At the end of the season, the Twins Wives Organization determines several local charities that will be recipients of the funds raised throughout the year.
