Educational Programs


School Visits
Twins players, coaches and former players visit schools in January, April, and May to promote healthy lifestyles and academic excellence.

Children's Hospitals Visits
Twins players, coaches, and former players visit children's hospitals in January, June, July and August.

Twins Reading Programs
Summer Reading Incentives
Statewide, participating libraries receive reading posters and bookmarks featuring a Twins player, as well as other Twins merchandise, to use as incentives for their youth reading programs. Libraries that wish to participate should call 612-375-7523 or email stephaniejohnson@twinsbaseball.com.

Cub Foods Reading Program
Children 14 and under can register for the reading program at participating Cub Foods. Children in the program receive Twins-prizes for total minutes read during the summer.

Perfect Attendance, Perfect Game
All participating Minnesota middle school students achieving perfect attendance during the months of March-June will receive two free lower-level tickets to a Twins game. Students will be recognized during an on-field ceremony, have the opportunity to meet a Twins player, and their names will appear on the Twins scoreboard.

Target Back-to-School Weekend
In partnership with Target Corporation, the Minnesota Twins donate and help encourage the public to donate school supplies at Twins games and Target stores. In September, donated supplies are given to disadvantaged youth at the beginning of the school year.

Salute To Education
he Minnesota Twins Salute to Education Program offers the opportunity for groups of Upper Midwest students and staff to attend a Twins game for only $10 during the months of April, May and September.
