Each spring the Twins Community Fund and Play Ball! Minnesota kick off the youth baseball and softball seasons with the Play Ball! Minnesota Coaches Conference.
Established in 2005, the Play Ball! Minnesota Coaches Conference brings youth coaches from throughout the region together to discuss pertinent topics in youth baseball and hear from top-quality coaches as they prepare for the upcoming season. The day-long conference is a great experience for experienced and beginner coaches alike.
Minnesota Twins alumni, members of the Twins front office and Play Ball! Minnesota members are on hand each year to present and lead general and breakout sessions. Past conferences have featured Twins players, coaches and alumni such as Michael Cuddyer, Nick Punto, Steve Liddel, Jerry White, Joe Vavra, Gene Larkin, Tim Laudner, Scott Leius, Rod Carew, Paul Molitor, Harmon Killebrew and others.
After being held at various venues in the Twin Cities, the conference has found a home at Target Field. The 2011 conference schedule, details and registration will be available soon, check back soon for more information and conference registration.
