The Heart of Twins Territory

Play Ball! Minnesota Coaches Award

Play Ball! Minnesota and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund are proud to present the Play Ball! Minnesota Coaches Award.

The Play Ball! Minnesota Coaches Award honors youth baseball and softball coaches who work to provide a positive youth athletic experience for their players.

Award winners will be selected each month throughout the season from July through September 2012. Each winner will receive four tickets to a Twins home game, a pre-game recognition ceremony on the field and a Twins jacket.

Please answer each question below. When possible, try to use specific examples and stories to answer the questions.

1. How does the coach teach the fundamentals of the game in a positive, effective and enjoyable way?
2. In what ways does the coach reward effort, good citizenship, fair play and a respect for the game and its players?
3. How does the coach promote good sportsmanship by parents, athletes and coaches?
4. How does the coach share his or her love and enthusiasm for the game?

Nominations received by July 1, 2012 will be given top priority.
