On Monday, April 6, the morning of the Royals Opening Day, more than 1,200 Rotary volunteers - along with many local celebrities - are stationed throughout the metropolitan area selling Greater Kansas City Day souvenir editions of The Kansas City Star. All proceeds from the sale of the Greater Kansas City Day souvenir edition of The Kansas City Star and the commemorative flags go to the Rotary Youth Camp and other area youth charities.
When you buy the commemorative paper on Greater Kansas City Day, you become part of a winning team that is sending disadvantaged youth and children with disabilities to camp.
New this year, you will also have the chance to get an exclusive Kansas City Royals flag! For just a $10 donation, you will have the opportunity to get a 2'x3' flag commemorating the 2014 American League Champion season at select Hy-Vee locations throughout the greater Kansas City area. A limited number of flags will also be available downtown at the Kansas City Star Press Pavilion. Only 5,000 are available so make sure you get yours that morning!
Be a part of Greater Kansas City Day and become a sponsor to receive great benefits from both the Kansas City Star and the Royals! For more information, contact the Royals at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Would you like to order a bundle of papers to be delivered to your home or office on Greater KC Day? Or, would you like to purchase a bundle to be donated to a local organization? For more information, contact the Royals at: email@example.com.
