The Astros Foundation (formerly known as the Astros In Action Foundation) is the official 501(c)3 team charity of the Houston Astros. We seek to harness the passion of baseball fans in the Greater Houston area to support our cornerstone charitable programs, including Community Leaders, the Astros Urban Youth Academy and the Astros RBI Program (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities).
Launched by Houston Astros owner Jim Crane in late 2012, our new Community Leaders program is an $18 million investment by the Astros Foundation and generous corporate sponsors to rebuild youth baseball and softball fields in disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout Houston. The program is an exciting new partnership between the Astros Foundation, the City of Houston and local corporate champions including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Calpine Corporation, Champion Energy Services, Halliburton Charitable Foundation, Lexus, Nabors Industries, National Oilwell Varco, Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Schlumberger. Working with Houston Mayor Annise Parker and the city's Parks and Recreation Department, Community Leaders is run by The Astros Foundation. More Info »

Baseball and softball camps, clinics, tryouts and other activities are provided by experienced instructors. The UYA also offers mentoring, leadership development as well as assistance with the college application process. More Info »
